World Space Week will be held each year from October 4, 1957- Launch of the first human-made Earth satellite, Sputnik 1, thus opening the way for space exploration, and October 10, 1967- The signing of the Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies.
LIFE ON THE MOON
Some space pioneers, and other space agencies such as National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), plans to go back to the moon with humans by 2020, Many other Nations across the World are interested also in going to the moon, first with Robotic Missions, whereby currently Japan (Kaguya) and China (Chang’ E 1) have a spacecraft in orbit around the moon taking pictures and measurements. And the good news is; This year(2008) India (Chandrayyan – 1) and the US (LRO) will also send the spacecraft to the moon.
YOUNG SPACE ENTHUSIASTS VISION ON MARS
We as young space enthusiasts, we would like to have the first baby, being born in either Mars or Moon, but do you think we shall achieve this vision, and if yes! When? These are the challenging ideas that we should have them in mind.
OUR PLANET EARTH
Recently, in every corner of the World people are talking about space exploration, space colonization and space tourism. What do you think? Can we solve our problems such as Energy crisis, poverty etc by focusing on space exploration and thinking of establishing settlement in other planet such as Mars?
PLANETARY EXPLORATION
PLANETARY EXPLORATION is the broad kind of exploration which involves all the planets, including the planet earth, and it is conducted both by human spaceflights and by robotic spacecraft.Talking about the planetary exploration will only be an ideal, if we shall talk about the first orbiter flight, and the first successful orbital launch was of the Soviet unmanned Sputnik (Satellite I) mission on October 4, 1957. This success led to an escalation of the American space program, which unsuccessfully attempted to launch Vanguard 1 into orbit two months later. On January 31, 1958, the U.S. successfully orbited Explorer 1 on a Juno rocket. In the meantime, the Soviet dog Laika became the first animal in orbit on November 3, 1957.
HUMAN SETTLEMENT IN MARS
Mars is a frequent topic of discussion, as it has shown the possibility of supporting human life; hence space settlement, space humanization and space habitation. This is because its overall surface area is similar to the dry land surface of Earth, it may have large water reserves, and has carbon (locked as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere). What is your opinion?Do you real think that we can have settlement in Mars in the few years to come?
THE FIRST MAN IN SPACE
After the World witnessed the first animal in space (A Russian Dog, Laika). In years later Yuri Gagarin became the first man in space . From Russia, that is why in every 12th April the world celebrate Yuri's Night in which during day time there are some activities that take place such as community services, education fund raising and rocking parties at night. This event is celebrated nearly in all six inhabited continents across the world.
ANIMAL PIONEER OF SPACE EXPLORATION
We are talking about the space exploration, which at first began with Robotic Mission, but recently it involves both the Robotic mission and human mission, but before the first man in space, we had the first animal who went in space. The Soviet dog Laika became the first animal in orbit on November 3, 1957.
SPACE GENERATION
The term "Space Generation" is a reference to the notion from Peter Diamandis, Bob Richards and Todd Hawley (the founders of International Space University (ISU), that all people born after 12th April 1961 (Flight of Yuri Gagarin, first human in space) have something in common which makes them different from all generations before them: realizing the contribution of space pioneers.

My name is Castory Ntullu, a recent graduate from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. As an African particularly a Tanzanian youth I have learnt since ever to be a multipurpose person and that is why I have managed to get involved in various International matters related with Environments and Space, as so far I am the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) Regional Coordinator for Africa and World Space Week (WSW) National Coordinator for Tanzania, and at the sametime I am the Publicity Officer of Joint Environment and development Management Action (JEMA), based at the University of Dar es Salaam. I am an Explorer with the great ambition to land on either Mars or Moon in the future to come, and this is because I have been inspired with the two Astronauts (Sunita William who is working with NASA and Jean Jaques Favier who is working with Franc Space Agency.
